Kings Park in Spring

What started out as a warm Spring day turned to dark, oppressive and wet by the time I reached Kings Park. The sky almost looked like a storm might break at any moment. I didn’t get nearly as many shots as I would have liked, between the frequent rain shows, dashing for cover and dodging people.
But it was still a good afternoon.

Volunteers in Action; National Volunteer Week

I was recently invited by the Fremantle Volunteer Service to help them out taking photos of local volunteers out in the wild; doing their thing and supporting the local community. I’ve done a lot of volunteer work in my time, so I jumped at the opportunity to help showcase work that is often unsung. It was at times confronting, at others entertaining and interesting. I got to see the firing of the cannon at The Roundhouse, and met some lucky furry and feathered friends who’ve been given the chance at a new lease on life.

Silhouette

Found this sitting in my draft folder. I know that its in Point Peron as I recognise the silhouettes, but not when it was taken or why we were there. We go here a lot though, so it may have just been a walk and the sky was a lovely colour.

Early Morning at Point Peron

Early Evening Mist

Another recovered photo from the corrupted SD card. I remember stopping by the side of the road just before sunset because I was surprised that the mist had already begun to settle.

Hiking in the Rain

This is another photo recovered from the corrupted SD card that Sam managed to perform a successful recovery on. Its from the same holiday as Albany – 2013. On the way back up we pulled over by a small, nondescript carpark for lunch. We seen an old, moss-covered sign that indicated there was a trail through the forest leading down to a waterfall. Since it had been raining for the past week we thought we’d see if the waterfall was running. Sadly, it wasn’t. But the walk was lovely.

Holiday – 2013

A photo recovered from an old SD card that I had kept after it became corrupted; that Sam managed to perform a recovery on. I’m fairly certain this was from a random weekend away to Albany; though I am happy to be corrected if its not.

I don’t have much more to say about it since I don’t remember the holiday well enough to even know where we went. Though it was taken with my old DSLR, given the date it was taken. Which is just a interesting factoid for you.
