Found this sitting in my draft folder. I know that its in Point Peron as I recognise the silhouettes, but not when it was taken or why we were there. We go here a lot though, so it may have just been a walk and the sky was a lovely colour.
Soft hues of pink and yellow green in the midday sun. I love the softness of this photo, despite the how harsh midday sun tends to be. Last day of winter isn’t too bad though, I guess. These succulents are common in the sand dunes where I live, and have the softest pink flowers. I thought I’d do something different though, since the leaves themselves were so striking in their colouring.
This is another photo taken on the photowalk at Serpentine in 2014. When my friend and I reach the summit we sat down in the only place that was actually devoid of ants (seriously, it was ants all the way up. Large bull ants, everywhere) for a small snack. It was exhausting getting to the top, but by the time we reached the bottom we were both suffering from jelly legs. Anyway. The rest of at the top was a welcome break, and as I was sitting there eating my banana I noticed these little darlings growing amongst some of the granite.
It was such a pleasant surprise to see them, so I took a quick photo before we stood up to begin our descent.
