Time spent with family is always enjoyable; its even more poignant when the rest of your life is hard. Its a reminder that there are people who will be there for you, supporting you. My husband and I received a number of hard blows these last few weeks, and just that brief moment away from it all for a weekend helped provide the strength to face the challenges in front of us.
The unknown can be terrifying, but its important to remember that life is what you make of it. Things may be hard, and our situation may worsen before it gets better. Grit, determination and facing each day as though its the one that will make everything turn around is key.
It feels like we’ve lived the last few years in Winter, the world dark and asleep. Nothing changes and our eyes closed to the opportunities around us. We’re waking into Spring, jolted into a reality that’s hard to face. New beginnings and challenges. The possibilities before us yet to come to fruition. Who knows where it will lead us, but we’ll be trying our darnedest to make the most of every moment.
